This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Medlitics uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site operators. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a set period).
We use only the minimum cookies necessary to operate the platform securely. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or social media pixel tags of any kind.
| Cookie name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
med_session |
Maintains your login session so you do not have to log in on every page | Session (deleted on browser close) | |
med_csrf |
Security token to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks | Session | |
med_prefs |
Stores your display preferences (e.g., notification settings) so they persist between visits | 90 days | |
| Advertising cookies | Medlitics does not run advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites. | N/A | |
| Analytics cookies | We do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics cookies. Usage data is collected server-side in an anonymised, aggregated form only. | N/A | |
| Social media pixels | We do not embed Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media tracking pixels. | N/A |
The three cookies we use (med_session, med_csrf, med_prefs) are strictly necessary for the platform to function securely. Under Nigerian law and international best practice, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent — they are essential to deliver the service you have requested.
Because we use no non-essential cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. There is nothing to opt in or out of beyond what is strictly required.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that deleting our session cookie will log you out of your Medlitics account. The following links explain how to manage cookies in common browsers:
If we introduce any new cookies in the future, we will update this policy and — if any new cookies are non-essential — request your consent before setting them.
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at [email protected].
This Cookie Policy forms part of our Privacy Policy and is governed by Nigerian data protection law.
